Terms of Use

Last updated: June 2026

By using PositivePayMaker (“the site”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What the site does

The site is a free tool that converts check register data into positive pay (check issue) files in bank-specific layouts, and validates existing files. It runs in your browser and performs a deterministic file transformation.

Verify every file with your bank

Bank file specifications vary, change over time, and are sometimes negotiated per customer. The layouts here are built from published specifications or reconstructed from vendor documentation, and each is labeled accordingly. You are responsible for verifying that any generated file is correct and accepted by your bank before relying on it. Always test your first file through your bank's test facility or with your treasury contact. The site is a formatting aid, not banking, accounting, legal, or financial advice.

Provided “as is”

The site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that output will be error-free or accepted by any bank.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from rejected files, processing errors, fraud, or your use of the site. Your use is at your own risk.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site to break the law, infringe others' rights, or disrupt its operation. The site, its code, and its content are protected by intellectual property rights.

Not affiliated

We are not affiliated with Intuit, QuickBooks, or any bank named on this site. Bank and product names are used only to describe file formats and belong to their owners.
